Everyone deserves a purpose-driven career.

I’m a lot of things and wear many different hats…all of which contribute to who I am.

ABOUT ME

First and foremost, I’m a father, a son, a brother, and a partner.

A friend to human and non-human persons alike.

An admirer of nature and the outdoors, from old growth forests and misty mountains to freshwater wetlands and sandy beaches. I believe, deeply and unapologetically, that we have a sacred responsibility to be careful stewards of this Earth…not for our own sake alone, but for the generations that will inherit what we leave behind. How we tend to it is the measure of who we are.

I’m also an environmental attorney at one of the country’s top law firms, where I focus on contaminated site cleanups, environmental due diligence, and the complex legal terrain where development and conservation meet. I’m a former environmental field scientist and a member of the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy in New York. I’m also gubernatorial appointee to the New York State Adirondack Park Agency, a role that connects me every day to one of the most extraordinary landscapes on Earth.

And then there is this, Green Collar Careers. A platform I built because I kept having the same conversation over and over again, with people who cared deeply about the environment but couldn’t find the door in. With professionals who had spent a decade building skills they didn’t know how to translate. With anyone who felt the pull toward this work but had been told, or had told themselves, that somehow they weren’t qualified.

I was born in the Dominican Republic and came to this country as a child. I almost didn’t make it…contaminated water nearly took my life before I had a chance to live it. I didn't understand until much later how much that moment shaped everything that followed. The field science. The law degree. The conservation work. This platform. All of it traces back to a boy who survived something he shouldn't have and grew up to dedicate his life to the systems that keep us alive.

I built Green Collar Careers for the person I used to be and for everyone still searching for their way in. Welcome.”
